A Holiday That Will Leave Everyone Happy

We all know the pain of trying to put together the perfect trip. Mum loves a chic wellness retreat, dad wants to spend the day in the sun and sipping negronis and your siblings want nothing more than a city overflowing with endless options for a night out. We put together a one-stop list to solve all your vacation headaches.

The Wellness Retreat

It’s reaching that time of year - the lull just before Summer, the final home stretch. You need a holiday before the holiday so you can really relax when the time comes. We know it all too well. We don’t imagine there are many who would need convincing to trade in their daily commute for a little peace and quiet but if you happen to have the unlucky pick of the bunch, this might convince them.

The Rooster is a restorative wellness retreat hidden in the heart of the Cyclades. A ferry ride from Paros, it is the ultimate getaway to disconnect. Local food, dreamy sunsets and golden beaches - what more could you ask for? You certainly won’t see us complaining. Stay in their chic private houses and immerse yourself in healing rituals, yoga practices and luxe Ayurvedic massages.

The Foodie Holiday

One could argue that the main reason we go on a holiday is for the food. ‘One’ may be me, but, be honest, would you really go to Paris if it weren’t for the croissants? Regardless of the importance you place on the perfect French pastry, food makes everyone happy. Literally, everyone. So we know there will be no persuasion required here.

Venture south to Palermo’s Villa Igiea for a trip that your taste buds will never forget - from Sunday brunch to champagne under the stars and signature cocktails at the Terazza Bar. If you feel like getting really stuck in, book a Cassata Siciliana Cooking Class for a truly authentic foodie experience.

The City Getaway

It’s been a long two years sans-travel and, if you’re anything like us, you’re about ready to escape as far away from your routine as possible. Cue an NYC trip. The ultimate destination for socialites and undercover tourists alike, there is nothing more satisfying than strolling down Fifth Avenue playing local.

Maybe a cliché destination but, let’s be honest, all the best things are. If you’re struggling to convince the group, MADE might do the trick. Located on 29th and Broadway, it is a chic contemporary hotel with everything going for it. For the friends who just don’t know how to take a break, its located right up the street from an F45. For the shameless tourists, the Empire State Building couldn’t be closer. And for the foodies, there is no better location - find Nobu right on the other side of Bryant Park (though, if you can get a table, we’ll be impressed).

The Staycation

A trip abroad can be a logistical nightmare, we know it as well as anyone. And why would you take on the extra hassle when you can have as good a holiday as ever on your doorstep. You would be surprised at the unique destinations you can find, but we know the argument behind searching for accommodation sometimes holds the entire trip in the balance, so we’ve done the searching for you.

Just two hours from London, you will find Shingle House. Tucked in a remote corner of Kent, it is an architectural dream. We’re not going to lie, if you’re looking for a party spot, this is not the place but if you’re coming from the city, we bet you could do with a little peace and quiet. Open plan, sea views and surrounded by a nature reserve, if you’re looking for a quiet getaway with friends, we don’t think you could ask for much more.
