Shares Her Go-To Picks
March 2024
We sat down with MIRROR WATER founder and bride-to-be, Estée Lalonde, to talk all things weddings. The creative director and content creator gave us all the details of her upcoming wedding itinerary including her unique hen do and wedding favour plans.

The 411 on all things Estée Lalonde?
Born and raised in Canada, the London creative made her mark in the beauty space with her reflective approach to all things self-care, eventually manifesting in her viral skincare brand, MIRROR WATER. In the rare moments the on-the-go founder isn’t on the clock, she’s living and breathing her self-care practices or spending time with her rescue dog, Effie, and her partner.

Blushing bride (to-be).
A hen-do is one of our favourite parts of the wedding itinerary. What are your plans and could you give us the gifting inside scoop?
I have decided to do a solo hen-do! I have so many amazing friends that I’m excited to celebrate my big day with, but I really want my hen do to be all about prioritising myself ahead of such busy time. I love being by myself and creating space to reflect. I’m taking myself off to Portugal for a week before the wedding to soak in the rays, good vibes and get that pre-wedding glow going!
As for gifts, which will be for myself (!), I think I might treat myself to a new scent! I love attaching a memory to a fragrance and can honestly think of nothing better than finding the perfect one, dousing myself in it for a week, and then forever thinking of my getaway every time I smell it.

Let’s talk all things wedding favours. What are your lucky guests receiving?
Nothing is set in stone yet, but I do love the idea of a gorgeous little personalized matchbook as one of our wedding favours. I love cute little illustrations and I have been thinking about working with an artist to design something special for our day.
With your wedding on the horizon, do you have tips to share with fellow brides-to-be in the run up to their big day?
Well I’m not sure I’m best qualified to answer this as my day is still to come and really I’m the one wanting any and all tips! That being said, I think the biggest thing I am having to remind myself is to relax and enjoy it! I have found wedding planning really stressful and surprisingly difficult! There are just so many things you need to do that creep up on you.
Honestly, and this might sound silly and boring but I have found that just taking a step back and remembering that it’s not really about the day (although it totally is - hee hee!) it's about the person and our relationship. I have been told by so many of my married friends that the day flies by and if you’re too busy worrying you’ll completely miss it! So in the spirit of that, I say… relax.
Last but not least, you can pick three things from The Go-To for your registry. What are you picking?
