Jessica Warch & Sidney Neuhaus Share Their Go-To Picks
We sat down with the founders of Dragon's Den's Kimaï to talk all things jewellery. The minds behind the disruptive diamond brand give us the run-down on launching a successful start-up, their top tips for fellow female founders and the 101 on jewellery gifting.
TELL US A BIT MORE ABOUT KIMAÏ. WHY LAB-GROWN, WHY MADE-TO-ORDER? WE WANT TO KNOW IT ALL.
Kimai was born five years ago with a clear mission: to revolutionize the diamond industry by bringing transparency to its core. Feeling increasingly disconnected from the traditional industry that was linked to many controversies and lacking innovation and change in communications and marketing, it was clear that a fresh approach was needed. Lab-grown diamonds quickly emerged as the perfect solution to our quest for traceability without compromising on quality and design—so it was a no-brainer for us.
Moreover, the made-to-order approach became integral to our strategy as a young brand navigating the complexities of luxury jewelry. By launching with minimal inventory, we were able to learn, experiment, and refine our offerings before committing to production. This enables us to minimise waste (dead stock) and also offer our customers a personalised and made-to-order service.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE KIMAÏ PIECES?
Jess: I love my Semi Hoops, stacked together.
Sidney: The Milestone Necklace is a chunkier piece but I love to wear it with my casual looks which elevates any outfit.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO FELLOW FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS?
Never take 'no' for an answer. Unfortunately, you'll encounter many rejections, and you'll have to hustle to get there, but don't give up.
